Today we bring you something a little different, and a lot of fun. EPISODE 70 “Surely You Can’t Be Serious x Famous & Gravy” is a crossover, where your hosts Michael and Amit take guest seats on the acclaimed “Surely You Can’t Be Serious” podcast. Rather than a usual collab, there’s a bigger backstory to this one: In our Ep 51 “Goofball Stud“ (Bill Paxton), Michael said the number one thing he loved about Paxton was that he is the MVP of IMDb. His exact words were “I defy you to come up with someone who has a more rewatchable and fascinating IMDb catalog.“ As that episode hit far and wide, that particular point piqued the ears of several listeners, specifically hosts Jason and Dee from the “Surely” podcast. They recently invited Amit and Michael on their show to take this challenge live. Today’s episode is thus a poignant, light-hearted debate between the hosts of Surely You Can’t Be Serious and Famous & Gravy, where we make the case and ultimately find out who is the true IMDb MVP. As a loyalist to Famous & Gravy subjects, Amit makes the case for Fred Willard (Ep 58 “Best in Show”) while Michael of course defends Paxton.
